Last January 3, the Rotaract Club of Lucena South carried out Project Still Waters at Still Waters Kid’s Home Inc., an orphanage dedicated to providing care, guidance, and stability for children in need.
The activity focused on nurturing both learning and joy. Club members distributed learning and coloring books to support creativity and education, while also providing meals for the children throughout the day. Beyond these efforts, Rotaractors spent time engaging with the kids through games and shared activities—creating an atmosphere filled with laughter, warmth, and genuine connection.

These moments of interaction held deep significance. By spending time listening, playing, and being present, the club aimed to offer more than material assistance. The experience reinforced the importance of human connection, reassurance, and companionship—values that lie at the heart of meaningful service.
The initiative was led by Past President Daphne Mendoza and Vice President Crizelle Belmonte, whose guidance and commitment helped shape the activity into a purposeful and compassionate outreach. Together with the members of the Rotaract Club of Lucena South, the project reflected the organization’s dedication to service rooted in empathy and respect.

Project Still Waters stands as a reminder that service is about creating safe spaces where children feel valued, supported, and cared for. Through shared moments and sincere engagement, the club hopes to have contributed not only to a joyful day, but to lasting encouragement for the children of Still Waters Kid’s Home Inc.
