Kaya Natin! Youth – Lucena Leads “Roots for Tomorrow” Tree-Planting; Rotaract Club of Lucena South Joins the Green Movement

Lucena City, Philippines — October 5, 2025. The Kaya Natin! Youth – Lucena spearheaded the tree-planting initiative “Roots for Tomorrow: KN Kabataan in Action for a Greener Lucena” in Barangay Salinas, Lucena City, with the participation of various youth and civic organizations, including the Rotaract Club of Lucena South.

The project aimed to plant 1,000 trees as part of the collective effort to promote environmental sustainability and climate action within the local community. Volunteers from schools, youth groups, and partner organizations came together to take part in this meaningful activity, united by the goal of nurturing a greener and safer Lucena.

Members of the Rotaract Club of Lucena South joined as volunteers in the planting efforts, reinforcing the club’s continued advocacy for environmental protection and community engagement in line with Rotary’s focus on Supporting the Environment.

Each seedling planted represents not only a step toward reforestation but also a symbol of shared hope for a cleaner, more sustainable future. The event underscored the power of collective action — reminding everyone that even small contributions, when done together, can create lasting impact.

Because indeed, “Basta’t sama-sama, Kaya Natin!”
