Seven Areas of Focus. One Community. One Mission. Lasting Impact.
The Rotary Club of Lucena South, together with the Rotaract Club of Lucena South, proudly launched Project IMPACT on July 5, 2026, a Rotary Year Kick-Off Initiative that brought together seven flagship projects to benefit more than 200 students and parents at Napoleon Ravanzo Elementary School.

Designed around Rotary’s Seven Areas of Focus, Project IMPACT transformed the organization’s global service priorities into meaningful, community-based action. The initiative brought together education, health, environmental sustainability, child protection, and community development to address the practical needs of students, parents, and teachers.
Turning Rotary’s Seven Areas of Focus Into Action
Project IMPACT aimed to equip the school community with practical knowledge, essential services, and sustainable programs that support healthier, safer, and more empowered communities.
The initiative featured seven flagship projects:
- Project Respecto — Promoted awareness and prevention of bullying through an anti-bullying campaign.
- Busog Lusog Year 5 — Supported student nutrition through feeding activities, nutrition education, and growth monitoring.
- Project I Have Two Hands — Promoted proper handwashing and distributed soap to encourage better hygiene practices.
- Project Alaga — Focused on child health, protection, and overall well-being.
- Project Aral — Supported literacy and numeracy through reading activities and the distribution of school supplies.
- Project S.P.R.O.U.T. — Promoted urban gardening and strengthened the school’s vegetable garden as part of its sustainability efforts.
- Project Basura Ko — Encouraged proper waste segregation through color-coded bins and environmental awareness activities.
Together, these projects demonstrated how different areas of community development can work together to create a more comprehensive approach to service.

Investing in a Lasting Partnership
Beyond the day's activities, Project IMPACT also introduced Project Tanghalan, a legacy stage designed to support future school programs and activities.
Members of the Rotaract Club of Lucena South also served as guest speakers, sharing their knowledge, experiences, and expertise with students and parents through meaningful discussions.

The initiative sought to strengthen the partnership between Rotary, Rotaract, and Napoleon Ravanzo Elementary School, creating programs and resources that can continue to benefit the community beyond the kick-off initiative.
Creating Lasting Impact Through Collaboration
Project IMPACT reflects the belief that lasting community development begins with collaboration. By bringing together Rotary and Rotaract members, school officials, teachers, parents, partners, sponsors, and volunteers, the initiative created a shared platform for service and community empowerment.
The Rotary Club of Lucena South and Rotaract Club of Lucena South extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed their time, resources, expertise, and support to the initiative.

From promoting healthier habits and protecting children to strengthening education and environmental responsibility, Project IMPACT showed what can happen when seven areas of focus come together around one community and one mission.
Together, we continue to Create Lasting Impact.
