September 20, 2025 – Lucban, Quezon. The Rotaract Club of Lucena South joined fellow Rotaract and Rotary partners for Kaloob na Banahaw Year 4, an environmental initiative that brought together over 200 participants in Lucban, Quezon.

The event was spearheaded by the Rotaract Club of Lucena Circle, Rotaract Club of Makati, and the Rotary Club of Lucena Circle, in collaboration with Southern Luzon State University (SLSU). Activities took place at the SLSU College of Agriculture and the Banahaw Botanical Garden.
Participants were welcomed with an insightful talk from Dr. Kathreen Gutierrez, who shared about the importance of Mt. The day continued with a hike to the Banahaw Botanical Garden, where participants planted 300 narra trees—contributing to long-term forest growth and conservation.

Joining the initiative were various Rotaract Clubs across the region, the Philippine Pharmacists Association – Lucena City Quezon Chapter, and several student organizations from SLSU.
Through its participation, the Rotaract Club of Lucena South reaffirmed its commitment to environmental stewardship and Rotary’s mission of “Service Above Self.” Together with partner organizations, the club continues to support efforts that nurture both communities and nature for future generations.
